Work 3 inches (or desired length) of 3-stitch I-cord. To close i-cord, SL1-K2tog-PSSO. Cut yarn but leave 6” tail. Thread tail into beading needle and string glass beads. Bring the beads snug to the top of the i-cord. Bring the needle around and through the last bead again. Run the needle through the rest of the beads and through the center of the i-cord. Cut remaining tail and hide end in the i-cord.
Weave in any loose ends.
Block gently to form. When the bookmark is dry you may spray it lightly with laundry starch. Don’t worry to much about curling, though. As long as the bookmark is kept flat in a book, the lace should keep it’s form.
